VINTAGE 1960s CROWN TRIFARI *signed* Demi Parure Gold Adjustable Necklace and Clip-On Earring Designer Jewelry Statement Set
These are gorgeous, gold plated, unique, potato chip shapes with polished edges forming stunning statement pieces, which travel well...making them an excellent addition to your summer and vacation jewelry wardrobe. They would also make a beautiful, decadent gift! They are in perfect vintage condition, very bright & chic, and all pieces are like new! They are from a Trifari representative's collection and were used as samples so they were never worn. The necklace has a beautiful chain which can be adjusted to any length and is superb worn as a choker necklace. The earrings are not signed, measure 1.5"L x just under 1.5"W and are clip on without pads. The necklace is signed Trifari, measures 18.25"L on a gold plated chain which can be adjusted to ANY length! It has a highly polished matching toggle clasp. The width of the largest pendant forming the necklace is 1.5"L x 1.75"W at the base, in the front of the bib necklace. We can add a personalized charm or pendant to the end, if desired. Gustavo Trifari emigrated from Italy to the U.S. in 1904 and founded Trifari NYC in 1910. Trifari was considered one of the largest and best known producers of costume jewelry. It started producing hair ornaments, buckles, and bar pins in silver and base metals set with rhinestones and later manufactured, a broad range of costume jewelry creating superb designs and workmanship at different price levels. The Trifari jewelry produced had a distinctive look, resembling fine jewelry, which can easily be recognized by collectors. Much of this is due to the work of a great designer, Alfred Philippe, who used high quality imported Swarovski rhinestones that were hand-set in the jewelry piece. Philippe worked as a designer of fine jewelry for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, and brought to Trifari many imaginative ideas. He is largely responsible for the creation and development of Trifari's distinctive and classic look.
